Join us at the winemakers table on the 18th of September for a night of vinous mischief with one of New Zealand’s most respected winemakers, Hans Herzog and renowned chef, Sean Connolly.

The Herzog name is firmly rooted in the world of premium wines, symbolising pleasure, passion, and a touch of adventure. With over 50 harvests of experience, Hans works alongside his wife Therese’ on their family-owned estate to craft wines that have gained international recognition. Hans Family Estate, prioritise quality over quantity, producing wines which are a beautiful blend of Swiss precision, and the unique terroir and climate of Marlborough region.

The evening begins with a glass of Hans favourite drop and our “Mystery Pour Challenge” – guess what’s in the glass and a $50 Esther voucher could be yours for the taking.

(Hint: Hans planted 26 different grape varieties on his riverbank playground. Good luck!)

On the nose, a feast crafted by Chef Sean Connolly flows through the restaurant, with flavours to perfectly match Hans vintages. Taste a rare pour of Arneis, a wine that almost never leaves Italy, a drop of Montepulciano from gnarled old vines, and finish with a liquid-gold Botrytis Riesling. As the evening unfolds, both Hans and Sean will share tales of their craft, as you sip back and enjoy an evening uncorked.
