On Saturdays we polish off the silverware for Esther’s High Tea. An afternoon affair where the rules are rewritten, the tiers are lavish, and the bubbles are bottomless.
Don’t expect finger sandwiches and scones with cream, this is an afternoon tea served the Sean Connolly way. Think retro tea-taking traditions featuring a collection of culinary curiosities, with nostalgic nods to our namesake Esther’s own Mediterranean kitchen.
This season, our high tea takes a sun-drenched turn. Expect a menu brimming with Mediterranean brightness and our French-inspired dessert trolley rolling out playful new indulgences. Choux swans filled with airy cream, loukoumades made fresh to order, drizzled with honey and pistachio, and a buffalo mozzarella cheesecake, artfully shaped like the real thing.
The libations, you ask? Sip on freshly made coffee and tea, or go bottomless for and extra $20, and enjoy 1.5 hours of free-flowing Prosecco pours, Mimosas and peachy Bellinis, because what’s an afternoon tea without a little extra sparkle?
